Halloween

"BOO!"

Well, I will be kind of busy today and tonight with my little ghosts and goblins...so probably won't be "haunting" my blog much today. My three will be, in no particular order, a fairy of a sort of gothic nature, Thomas the Train, and the cutest little vampire ever!!! My husband and I are debating dressing up...I will probably don the tried and true Witchy wear, and he will probably just put on a scary mask ( he loves those things!). Pumpkins have been carved, and house duly decorated inside and out in scary ( not too....) halloween decor! I and my small co-horts are about to go purchase the "Loot" to be dispersed tonight, and I believe we will be set!
Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Holiday Jobs

Well, it's hard to ignore the fact that the Holiday season is upon us. And that means shopping. Which, of course, requires money. Now, I know my blog is all about working from home, but I decided that it would be ok to take exception just this time and post some information for holiday jobs outside of the home. Money is always tight around here, but no more so than at Christmas time! I have thought about getting a seasonal part time job to help out with Christmas shopping, and I figured others may be thinking about doing the same. So, I am posting a link to a jobsite that offers good tips for seasonal jobs and how to find them. Ho Ho Ho!! Snag a Job

Freelance Writing Business

While I was surfing around the net this morning, I came across a great site aimed at mommies, daddies, and babies!! I stayed on the site too long ( big problem I have!), but I really enjoyed the articles on there! I wanted to pass the site on to anyone who does freelance writing because you can submit articles to this site. I don't know if you will get paid or not, you need to dig deeper, but it looks like a nice way to get your name out there if nothing else! here is the link to the site, it's called Babble.

Direct Sales....Great article to Read

Here is an article with some great advice for anyone thinking about signing up with a direct sales company. Enjoy!

It's all about heart!
By: Little Debbie

You want to work from home and think direct sales is a good option, and you are right! Where else can you start a business for $10 to $500, and earn $25 to $200 per hour outside the home?

You look at a list of direct sales options and see soo many! How do you know how to narrow it down? The answer is easy! Start with what you love.

If you don't wear makeup, how well do you think you will do putting it on others? If you detest the kitchen, how well will you do with cooking supplies? If you don't like to burn candles, who cares if others do. That business is not for you.

So look at what you DO love! There are soo many options out there! Here are some ideas:

-Scrapbooking
-Cooking
-Giving makeovers
-Burning candles
-Playing with your kids
-Reading
-Health and wellness
-Organizing
-Crafting
-Putting together memory books
-Stuffing animals
-Clothing

This is a short list. Sit down and write down what you love. Then begin looking.

Remember, when you love what you do, it's easy to share! The product is essential to making money. You need to believe in your product! You believe by being a customer and having fun in what you do.

When you are having fun, others not only want to buy from you, they will want to join you.

Here is to following your heart to the best business for you!

Are You An Expert?

Here is a company that is looking for "Quality experts to answer questions. Get paid on your own time by offering advice to customers". The company is called Just Answer. So if you think you have alot of knowledge in some area, be it gardening or dogs or cooking or whatever, you might want to take a look at their website and see if it's worth applying to become one of their "experts!"

Elf For Hire

With Christmas right around the corner, there are work at home opportunities possibly in the making. What about starting a service where you are kind of like an elf assistant to people that are too busy to do christmas shopping, cooking, baking christmas cookies, chistmas card addressing and mailing? Now would be the time to get something like this going. Put up flyers and place ads in local publications ( Pennysaver, for example), advertise on Craigs List (free), etc. Businesses and office buildings would probably be great sources of clients needing some extra christmas help. Perhaps you could have some professional flyers/cards printed and distribute them at office buildings, doctors offices,l dentists offices, etc. I know I could sure use an elf assistant...but I need one who will work for free!

October Almost Over!!

Wow! Time is flying. I can't believe how quickly this month has gone. Since the fires, I have been having a hard time getting back into an organized frame of mind. I really haven't set any goals the last week or so, and I have decided that I will wait until next week to get back into setting goals. Any good tips on staying organized and focused during the hectic holiday times?? I could sure use some!
Happy Halloween Week !!

Business Idea...Kids Cooking Parties

There is a company that specializes in kids cooking parties. Whether it be for birthday parties, slumber parties, or some other event, it is a unique spin on parties for kids. This company provides a package to get you started on this business opportunity, and its about $39.99. But you can check out the site, get information and ideas, and probably get started on your own without purchasing their package. You would need a cute name, advertising ( word of mouth, craigs list, flyers, small ads in local publications), and most likely a business license. It's something that could be fun and makes money at the same time. If you love kids and cooking....you are bound to do well with this type of business opportunity! here is a link to the company, The Kitchen Kidz.

What are You Passionate about?

What Do YOU Really Want? 8 Questions to Ask Yourself
By: MBB Creative Design Inc.

"What Do You Really Want?"
8 questions you should ask to yourself:
As a preparation to self-improvement

1. What do I really want?
The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day. Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?
Today's generation has taken another level of redefining 'self'

3. What's the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it's a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

4. Am I comfortable with what I'm doing?
There's always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn't take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we'll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

5. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you'll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy at where I am today?
It's an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

7. What motivates me?
What motivates you? It's an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. It's not like you can't have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that's it. Just try it piece by piece.

8. What am I passionate about?
So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical, psychological or philosophical change you choose to undergo, but in order to be successful, it's needs to be something that you really want.

At Home Careers Offered

OK...another company I found that offers customer service careers from home. The company is called Teletech, and they offer work at home options for customer service. I have not applied or talked with anyone, but their website is very well organized and offers a lot of information. Apparently there is paid training and benefits, and it is free to get started. Anyway, here is the website, go check it out if this sounds interesting. One more note, the website offers a list of states where they are looking for at home reps, and I didn't see California on there. So, if you are in California, you may want to check it out anyway, and bookmark the site, because it does say that they will be expanding and adding more locations soon.

Working From Home Possible Opportunity

If you like jewelery, then you might want to check out this company I came across. It is called Premier Designs. It is a jewelry company that is based in Texas, and has distributors nationwide. You can do home parties and basically work whenever and however you like. Anyway, check them out here, if you want to explore this idea more.
If anyone has worked with this company before or currently, please share your experiences!! Thanks!

Fire in The Blog!

Not quite, thank-goodness, but pretty close! Wow! What a terrible last few days it has been here in Southern California! We have been on fire watch here, with cars packed and ready to go. Watching flames lashing around is spooky and surreal. We are immensely grateful that today, Tuesday, all is relatively calm here by our home in Santa Clarita, and flames have subsided. I pray it stays that way, and that all the fires throughout S. Cal are contained quickly. I also am praying for all those who did lose homes, and those awaiting word. I have been away from my computer for the most part the last few days....but I' hoping that flames stay subdued today, and things will return to some sort of normalcy in the next couple of days.

I sincerely hope everyone is well and safe , and out of fire danger as well today.

Be safe!

Blog Break

Ah...I took an unplanned but much needed break from blogging yeterday (and most of today!). Between my writing, my blogging, my researching work at home opportunities, and of course my three kids, I was burning out. I figured I needed a break when I realized I was sitting in front of my computer and just staring at the screen. Eh. No typing, no reading, just staring. So, I took a break. Friday about noon or so, I stopped everything, turned off the computer ( wow...that was actually kind of hard to do, but once I did, I felt great!), and did not work the rest of the day. I played with my kids, did some shopping ( fun!) with my daughter, and went out to dinner with my guys (previously mentioned daughter was at a birthday party). Yeah for time off! Today I concentrated only on my writing articles for Associated Content. I am going to take some designated time away from the computer more often. Blog Breaks. Sometimes you just gotta have one!

Pet Sitting services....Start Your Own Business

The most common advise I find when reading about starting a home based business, is to choose an area that you are passionate about. So, if you are a passionate animal lover, and are interested in a business with a low start up cost, a pet sitting business might be right for you.

Pet Sitting is a pretty easy business to start. Basically, it would involve taking care of other people's pets, which will probably be dogs and cats. You could end up taking care of fish, rabbits, and hamsters...so it is good to love all animals in this business.

Pet sitting is usually done at the pet owner's home, or if you want to set up a service where you bring the pet into your home to be cared for is also an option. It is something you decide based on what works best for you. If you have small children, you might find it easier to care for the pet at the owner's home.
The pet sitting services generally would be feeding, giving fresh water, exercising, playing, giving prescribed medications, and just simple caring and loving.

Advertise with flyers and business cards that you can just print out yourself. Go to veterinarian's offices and pet stores and ask if you can leave your business cards. Put flyers on every available bulletin board around town that you find. Word of mouth is the best advertising of all, and the cheapest, so as your business grows, so will your success.

If you are a stay at home mom, and are not sure how to combine pet sitting with your kids at home, think about having a babysitter for a couple of hours a day while you are out running your business. Or maybe you can schedule your appointments in the evening when your husband is home.

Any passionate animal lovers with more tips, please share!!

Freelance Writer Opportunity

I came across this on Craigs List today. About.com is looking for health writers. Read the description of an ABOUT GUIDE here. The craigs list ad is here. And it says right on the ad that the minimum Guide earnings is $750/month! Sounds good to me! When I checked the About website, it lists other areas for guides as well, and if you click on an area, another window pops up and explains basic requirements. If you feel you have knowledge, writing ability, and interests in listed topic, try applying. There is a process/training period involved, and you may not be selected, but it could be worth a shot.

Storm Window Installation Home Business

This idea may be a good one if you are looking to start a home business with your spouse. Also, the location where you live would help you determine if this is a profitable business. The colder and stormier weather locales would obviously be best for this business. The basis of the business would be providing homeowners with the service of installing storm windows in the fall, and removing the windows in the spring. Advertise slowly with fliers, business cards, and small publication ads. Invest more as the business grows. You could try offering optional services like window cleaning and repair. This is a seasonal type of business, but with advertising and optional services added as your business grows, it could become more of a year round business. Start up costs would be minimal, with equipment like ladders and hammers and screwdrivers. If you think this is a service that is needed in your area, explore the idea some more!!

Alpine Access

Here is a link to this company for anyone interested. I have not worked for this company so I don't have any experience to offer, but if you are interested, do your homework and check them out. My only reason for not really persuing this kind of employment is that my kids are way too noisy, lol, so I doubt I could find quiet time to be a home agent. But if you have kids in school/daycare, this could possibly be worth checking out. Crystal, a mom with a blog atWork From Home Facts
also commented about the same drawback of having a noisy background when she was working for West At Home Thanks for sharing, Crystal! If you do work as an at home agent for a company like West or Alpine Access or have applied, please share your experiences, thanks!!

At Alpine Access, we deliver our ACE™ philosophy to our home-based agents as well. We have been committed to employing home-based people like you since 1998. Alpine Access values the relationship with each agent enough to make them employees of the company. We do so because an employee relationship creates a stronger connection and greater loyalty for our clients and our employees. Having an employee who is excited about their work and feels valued in their job is necessary for them to deliver a better level of service to our clients and their customers.

Unlike other work opportunities out there, we allow you to work from home. With Alpine Access, you can expect to be paid for all of the time you work - not on a per-minute or per call basis where, if calls don’t come in, you don’t make money. Further, we pay for application processing, background checks and for training. As employees of Alpine Access, you will experience a different kind of job, working from the comfort of your own home-office.

5 Rules To Grow Rich

There is an article in Woman's Day Magazine online, that I think has some really good advice money-wise! It is called "Your Money: 5 Rules To Grow Rich" by Mary Hunt. It is not too long of an article, so if you are chasing little ones around, it is a pretty quick read. Take a look!

Writing Update

So, I planned to spend my day writing for AC. I want and need to make some extra XMAS $$. How did I do? Not good! My first distraction came in the form of ( maybe TMI...WARNING) a diaper gone mad!! Yep...you get the picture. Living room, family room, toys, slide, stairs...not much of my house survived the great diaper debacle!
Then I had to pack up my two little munchkin boys and make a grocery run for MORE diapers and paper towels and CARPET CLEANER! Oy Vey!
Next distraction came in the form of LONG DIVISION. My daughter came home in a very sullen mood. Seems they are starting long division this week, and she is not pleased. So, WE worked on the never ending homework...sheesh...how many problems are we parents (I mean KIDS!) supposed to do in one night??
Dinner, dishes, dogs, diapers, bath, and now I am back at my computer; sullen daughter happily ensconsed in her room, homework done, and my three yr old sound asleep on the living room couch ( think I'll move him? not for a long time!). My baby ( almost 1, but still my baby!), is keeping me company as I sit here yawning.
So, now I will attempt another article to join my lone ONE that I wrote in the midst of my crazy day. Not at all what I had set my goal for. Well, tomorrow is another day. I hope for a nice diaper day!!

Garage Sale With a Twist

Here's a thought I had re: garage sales. I am not a garage sale sort of person. But I have lots of garage worthy items cluttering up my garage. I know that many people are in to having garage sales. So, a connection can be made where an enterprising garage sale person collects garage sale items from other homeowners. Advertise in local publications your service. Free pick-up of donated items, or one low low price for a homeowner's unwanted items collecting dust in the attic, or even offer to sell their items "on consignment" at your next garage sale. Check out thrift stores and other yard sales to increase your "inventory" as well. You could become a "garage sale entrepeneur". Sound crazy or feasible? Maybe you know of someone who already does this and you could share here? It's just a thought I had earlier today while manuvering through my completely disorganized and jam-packed garage. What do you think?

Drop Shipping Business...an update of sorts

In an ealier post of mine, I discussed a site called Shopster. Derek from eWoobie left a great comment that I suggest anyone read if they wanted more information about drop shipping businesses. He cautions against using places like "shopster", and offers some very good advice! Thank-you Derek! Here is a link to the first article about shopster, and Derek's comments.

Money Making Goals

OK...Tuesday! Yikes. I have really one goal for myself this week....write! I have really fallen behind with my writing for AC. And with Christmas coming fast now, I am going to buckle down and write articles. I am going to force myself not to peruse the net and read blogs and such, at least until I feel I've accomplished my writing goals for each day. I will let you know my progress....I plan to write all day with breaks in betweeen articles. Will post tonight with how many articles I got done.

Bye!

Well, here it is Monday morning, and I still have my goals to get done for this week. Ugh. I had a very busy weekend, unfortunately, not work busy. So...I have lots to get done today, and goals and updates to do. I will be getting my act together, and will be back!

Halloween Costumes...... and The Worm!

Well, my kids wanted to decorate for halloween today. So, instead of writing my goals for next week, I hung up cobwebs and skeletons. Way more fun than writing goals, that's for sure! I only wrote one article for AC, but hey, I did get some cute bats and goblins strung around my front door! My daughter and my son are sooo excited for halloween. We have yet to get costumes, but my 3yr.old informed me last night thhat he no longer wants to be Superman, or as he says "Supermon". Now he wants to be a ...WORM! ack! Where he came up with that I do not know! I am still laughing about it today. I am also hoping he might change his mind again because I don't think I can buy a worm costume anywhere, and I don't know how to make one! My 10 year old wants to be a pirate girl. Eh, pretty cool! My almost 1 yr old (my halloween baby) could care less. Hehe...but he will be costumed out, my daughter will have it no other way, nor would I. I had wanted batman and robin for the boys, but now with the "worm" thing, who knows?
So, I'm off to look up halloween costumes online and see if I can come up with something to entice my little one with and change his mind about being a worm, lol!

Christmas Site

Come see my new blog, the christmas place! I am just starting it, so I do not have very much content on there just yet, but I will be adding all the time. If you have any suggestions, ideas, comments...a recipe you want to share...let me know! Thanks!

cat and dog collars....a wahm opportunity

Pets services and products are always in demand. If you check ads in places like Craigs List you'll see a lot of help wanted ads for dog walkers and doggie daycares. Pet businesses are hot right now, and predicted to get hotter. So, if you can think of a product, like pet treats, or a service (start your own dog walking service), you may have the beginnings of a home-based business.
There is a site that you can check out that makes dog and cat collars. They offer a kit to start your own collar business. I doubt that I would buy the kit, but the site is good to look through and get ideas. Brainstorm and research for a pet-related home business you can start. By next week, you could be in business with a pet oriented service or product. Good Luck!

Christmas Themed Business

This is a perfect time to start a santa letter business. You can start this now, and maybe earn some extra christmas shopping money. Depending how you like the letter writing business, you could expand it as the year goes on. You can advertise on sites like Craigs List for free. You can pace ads in community newspapers, and you can print out flyers to post and distribute. You can also set up a free blog to advertise your new business online. Here is a site that has information on starting a santa business letter...good tips and advice...Business Know-How.
Happy Thursday Night!

Daycare Business Information

If you have thought about starting a daycare as your home based business, you might want to check out this site,http://nrc.uchsc.edu/. This is a resource for licensing requirements plus lots of information on starting a daycare. You can also find more links to other useful sites on starting daycares. Happy reading!!

"Mommy NO Work!"

Oh Boy...is this day one of "those" days or what for me? I think my 3 yr.old, who NEVER wants to eat, has decided that today will be his day to eat and make-up eat for all the days he has skipped eating! He has been eating literally nonstop since he got up at 8:30. Sheesh, this is a good thing, the boy needs calories, but...I am not able to get any work done. I make pancakes, sit him happily at the table, run change my little one's diaper, put him in the playpen(I know, bad), then run to my laptop. I barely was sitting down, and I hear, "Mom! more pancakes!" Oh well. Next, was pasta. Then came juice. Now, crackers. I have to smile though...it is such a treat to see my little guy eating so well. Must be a giant growth stage going on.
So, inbetween his eating, he tells me "No Work Mommy!" Of course, I had just sat down once again with the hopes of actually accomplishing one task. "But mommy needs to work to make money," I tell him. "why?" "I don't want money, I want my mommy!" I got off the computer. Yup. Closed down shop. And hugged my little guy tight. So small, but so darn wise. So, he is happily watching one of his favorite videos now. He had his fill of mommy time, I guess. So, here I am , back on my computer, trying to focus, and not feel like a horrible mommy. Ah...what's a mommy to do?

Drop Shipping

I have so many sites bookmarked...blogs upon blogs and such! I think I could easily spend a week doing absolutely NOTHING but reading on the sites I have bookmarked. There is just so much information and good ideas out there in the blogosphere...it is almost overwhelming to new bloggers like me! But today I wanted to make sure I did go back to a site that I had bookmarked earlier in the week. Because the holidays are fast approaching, and with the holidays comes shopiing, I thought this might be interesting as a working from home opportunity for someone.
The site is called shopster. Shopster is a complete online business solution for people who would like to have their own online store to sell merchandise online. You design your store site, and pick what merchandise you want to offer. Products sold on your store are delivered by Shopster to your customers and you determine your profit for each sale when you set your selling price. There are over 700,000 products to choose from when you are deciding what you will sell. You can also sell Shopster warehouse products on sites like Ebay, Overstock, and Yahoo stores.
You pay a monthly fee of $29.99, and a one time set up fee of $99.00. There is a free 7 day trial, and you can stop at anytime if you want to. No contracts of any kind.

So, if this sounds interesting to you, go to the site and read all about it. I do not have the $$ to join Shopster, but I wish I did! It will be something I will keep on my list to possibly check out again in a couple of months. If anyone already uses shopster, share your experiences. I'd love to hear about it!

Get Paid To Tutor Online

This sounds exciting! You can be a tutor online from your own home. The company is called Tutor.com. There are no fees or costs to sign up with this company. There is an application you fill out online, and some other requirements that need to be completed. You receive training and preparation if you are accepted as a tutor. Right now the demand for tutoring is high, and it's a good time to get started with the application process if this is something that interests you. You can schedule the hours and days you wish to tutor, but apparently between 4 and 11pm are the busiest times and you would do well. Pay is every fourth business day of the month, and is based on the hours you have done. You are paid as an independent contractor, which means taxes are not taken out of your paycheck, but you pay them at tax time using the 1099 form. If I apply, I will share about it here...and I'd love to hear from anyone that does work for this company, or has applied! Sounds like this would be a great opportunity to earn an income working from home. Tutoring Online...go check it out!

Ladypens and Writing

If you are looking for content for your blogs or ideas for writing, visit www.Ladypens.com. This is a site where you can submit your articles for other women to read and use. If someone does want to reprint your article, they must include your resource box with the article. This gives your name, and clickable links to your sites. It is a great way to get free advertising. It may sound strange at first, but it gets your name and links on blogs and websites all over the net, which can bring traffic to your sites. Check out the site. It is intended as a place that women can suport other women on the Internet.

So, today I did GPT clicking and I wrote several articles for Associated Content. I did some reading on blogging and adsense and traffic. I did too much reading, lol, and worked less than I should have as a result! Eh! Anyway, I also spent time playing with my babies ( my 10 year old would glare at me right now if she read this!), and doing some cooking. Family time is good time! Tonight, I am off to my two Sunday Musts: Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters!! But, before I do, I am taking a moment to do some goal setting for myself (ack! Do not want to, but I will)

Here goes. Last week I did not do great with my goals. I only managed to get my dreary old body out of bed by 5:30 twice. Hrumph. I will keep pushing myself this week...I really will!
I did not write as many articles as I wanted to. Now, if I had gotten up at 5:30 every morning, I would have done better with my writing goal. Oh well. Sleep is just so good.....especially after my 3 yr.old sleeps in my bed and plays "kick mommy's stomach and back" all night long. But I know the day will come where I will dearly miss those little cold feet in my back at 2 AM. Sleeping late due to little cold feet..worth it!
I did get some reviews done at Shared Reviews, so I am getting near to my goal of $100 from that site for October. Yeah! I will be doing at least 3-4 more reviews this week.
I will continue doing my clicking on my GPT sites each night.
I will submit an entry to a blog carnival this week...I did NOT do this last week. Missed goal.
And I am going to research and post about new potential work at home opportunities this week.

So that is it for me tonight. Sleep well all...see you in the AM!!

gpt site .....new one for me

I joined a new GPT site. It has a lot of easy offers and seems to have a good approval rate. You can withdraw your money when you reach $10.00 if you want. So I will be busy clicking today, but will be posting about goals and stuff later.

West At Home...Reviews??

Well, I haven't found too much about West At Home as far as reviews go. But from what I have picked up here and there, it does seem very legitimate. As far as I can tell, if you apply and are accepted, there are no costs involved. My best advice is to check it out yourself, and ask the company directly whatever questions you may have. Sounds ok, but best to do your homework.

Saturday...time for writing and more writing today. I did not do much writing for AC this past week, and I really need to refocus today and get some articles in. I also need to get a few more reviews in at Shared Reviews this weekend. I feel behind on everything...ugh! Christmas is fast approaching, so I want to really bring in some Christmas money....lots to buy as always! I will be posting a bit later with my goals for the coming week....Happy Saturday!

Work At Home Customer Service Job

I am quickly stopping in to mention a company that offers moms at home an opportunity to be a customer support agent from home. The company is called West At Home and it is worth taking some time to read their web site and check them out. I will be looking later today for some reviews and opinions about this company, and will post what I find out later today. But in the meantime, if anyone checks the company out and wants to share, please do so!!

Happy Friday!

More Review Sites That Pay

Since joining Shared Reviews, I have spent some time checking out more sites that will pay you for your reviews. I don't expect any "Paid To Review" site will make any of us rich, but they sure could come in handy for some extra Christmas money ( which is heavy on my mind these days...though we've yet to make it to Halloween!). I have two so far that seem interesting, and thought I'd pass them on here for anyone who is ineterested and wants to check them out.

Squidoo. If you do not know of this site ( I, for example, did not before yesterday, but after checking out the site realized that thousands of people do!), this is a site where you can create a page about some subject that you happen to know something about. Your page is called a "lens". You publish it on the Squidoo site, and you earn money when your "lens"makes money from the advertising placed on it. You can make as many pages/lenses as you want. And you can make them on any topic you want and know something about. This is a good site to check out. Read some of the lens and get a feeling about what you might want to write a page about. But be warned, I spent tooo much time on this site yesterday reading and reading! I did not join yet, but probably will...just need to find some time to do it!

Moms Product Reviews I did not get to research this site too much yet, but what I read about it seems simple and straight forward enough. You submit a review on a product you have used, and if your review gets chosen, you will get $5.00. The site states that payment is through PayPal, and if your review is published, you should have your payment within 7 days. But check it out for yourself, as always, before making a decision to join or not. Sounds good, and I will be going back to the site and checking it out some more myself.

Review away!!

motivation and success

I really believe in the power of positive thinking. Really. Most days, anyway. But sometimes it gets hard to find the energy to stay motivated. To really make changes in my life I know I need to be motivated and positive in everything I do. My friend recommended a book for me, Unstoppable Women , by Cynthia Kersey. Now this is an empowering book for all women! I have it on my nightstand, and am attempting to read some each night. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a source of inspiration to help you make changes in your life, and to teach you how to make your dreams come true, to read this book! I am determined to be a successful WAHM, but it helps to have some inspiration along the way, that's for sure.

Home Business Idea

If you are a creative sort and are always working on craft projects, an arts and craft homebased business could be just the thing for you! There are several sites, besides Ebay, where you can sell your handmade treasures. You can check out the forums at these craft sites, and get some very good information from members. You can become a member and then ask questions on the forums and probably get all the answers you need! You can ask for opinions on your craft idea, ask for opinions about pricing and promoting, etc. A good site to check out if you are considering starting a business selling your handmade crafts and products is etsy. You can sell your crafts on that site as well as buy. There is a great forum to meet other craft members on, and you can do some great and cheap research before deciding if this is a business for you.
SEW....go check them out! ( sorry- just couldn't resist!)

October Goals

My goals for October.

I plan to increase my writing with associated content each day, except maybe Sunday. I am thinking of trying to cut work completely out on Sundays, or keep it to a bare minimum.

I plan to work my GPT sites every day ( or night), and to consistently put effort into the referral side of these sites. I hope to make a minimum of $100 from my GPT sites combined, in October.

I also plan to complete my necessary reviews for Shared Reviews and make $100 for October with that site.
I also have a goal of one enzine article a week, and one blog carnival a week.
I have decided to firmly push myself to get up at 5:30 every morning. I can get so much accomplished during a couple of quiet hours in the morning than I can all day running back and forth from computer to kids!

And I plan to keep my list of "To Do" things with me every time I am at the computer. I want to work on my list every week. As it is now, I tend to write things down, and forget about them. I want to actively pursue one item on my "To Do" list each day.

I am not putting my goals in stone however. I would love to make as much money as I possibly could, and there are days that I am so engaged in my online ventures that I could easily work all day if I could, but my kids are my priority. And I am my own boss, hehe, so I can take time off whenever I need or want to! Money goals may not get met to the exact penny, but if my kids are happy and content, I have really accomplished my true goal.

October is one of my favorite months of the year! I love the colors, the breezes and colder weather! Fireplaces and Halloween and the anticipation of upcoming holidays ....definitely some of my favorite things.

Review of last week's goals

OK...here goes. My last goals I wrote down were:

Get more structure/organization with my work
Participate in a blog carnival at least once a week
Read more about adsense and optimization
repot on 1-2 work at home opportunities for moms and anyone else interested in a work from home income.
Get up at 5:30 every morning.

How I did:

I actually got a little bit more organized, but not nearly as much as I need to be and want to be. I have found that keeping a notebook with me at all times helps so much. Ideas come and go quickly in my mind....I can have an "ah" moment, that is quickly erased by an "oh oh, Mommy, I need you!" moment. So I have learned that jotting down a word or two quickly will help keep those fleeting ideas from forever being lost.

I did submit another blog entry to a blog carnival this week. I plan to keep that up.

I did some reading about adsense again, and have found some great information about optimizing. I hope to get my information pulled together and post some great stuff for anyone who may want to read and get some tips.

I did report on Working From Home opportunities I came across. I want to provide as many possibilities for moms looking to earn money online while working at home. My main goal is to have my blog be a resource for moms looking to work from home.
Here is a recap of WAHM Opportunities I have come across:

Treasure Trooper
Cash Crate
MyPiggyBankCash
Shared Reviews
Mineral Girlz
Associated Content
Send Out Cards
ExpoTv
LiveOps

Getting up at 5:30 every morning...not so much! That was hard. I did get up this morning by 5:30..woohoo, and what a difference! I actually got so much accomplished by the time the kids started waking up. I am really going to have to push myself on this goal !!

That is my review of my goals....next post will be about my new goals for this week.

I am totally fabulous!!
