Online Focus Group Moderator

I just came across this posting today, and have not checked it out but it does sound interesting and maybe worth some investigating.

Simpson Scarborough, a higher education marketing research firm, is looking for a part-time focus group moderator.

They conduct marketing research for higher education clients exclusively. Their target audiences include prospective students and their parents, current students and their parents, alumni, faculty, staff and occasionally business leaders, education leaders, teachers and guidance counselors.

They conduct focus groups about twice a month and they come in sets of 4 to 8. They last about 1 hour each so this job would entail about 8 to 16 hours of moderating per month. Most groups will be scheduled in the afternoon or early evening on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Nearly all the focus groups are held online via Webex conferencing software, so they can be moderated from any location. They provide training on this software.

Moderator guides are written for moderators, They do the recruiting for the groups and provide moderators with all of the materials necessary. What they need is someone to log on to the group at the appropriate time and lead the discussion.

They note that they are looking for someone available in the next few weeks.

Check out Simpson Scarborough if you are interested in this virtual online job, and if you decide you'd like to apply for the position, the email address to send your resume into is:
