American Express Hiring - F/T WAH

American Express is hiring full-time WAH customer care agents in certain locations/states. These are telecommute positions with evening, night and weekend shifts.

About This Position:

You will be answering incoming phone calls from American Express Card customers. You will have a fixed 40 hr/per week schedule, which may include day/evening/overnight shifts. Weekend shifts are required.

How Much Does This Job Pay?

These are hourly pay positions where you will earn an average of $15.73 per hour or more based upon prior work experience and performance on the job as an American Express Home Based Customer Care Professional. Top performers earn over $20 per hour (rate includes base salary plus incentive dollars). WAH employees also receive benefits, including retirement programs,and comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans.

The company provides paid training at home as well as continuing education courses.

What Are The Requirements For This Job?

You should have a 4-year college degree or 4 years experience in customer service. Some knowledge of credit card practices is preferred, as well as previous work at home customer service experience.

You must be proficient in keyboarding and navigating a windows environment and have PC troubleshooting skills.

A home computer, high speed Internet and dedicated analog phone line will also be required for this job.

New VIPdesk Training Class Starting April 1

VIPdesk is currently accepting applications for their April 1 training class for customer service agents. These are phone-required work-at-home jobs as you will be speaking directly with customers to help them schedule appointments with pre-screened home-improvement contractors in their area.

How Much Does VIPdesk Pay?

VIPdesk pays $8.50/hr. They also pay commissions and bonuses, so your average hourly rate can reach up to $12.00. (During training you are paid the Federal or State minimum wage - whichever is higher.)

What is The Work Schedule Like If I Get Hired?

You should be able to work up to 34 hours a week, and up to 5 days a week (Weekend and holiday work is also required.) Currently they have the  following shifts available -

Part-time, Monday - Friday; Sunday - 2:00pm - 10:00pm Eastern Time
Part-time, Monday - Friday; Sunday - 8:00am - 4:00pm Eastern Time.

What About Equipment and Things?

 If you are hired, you will need a dedicated separate home office with a door that locks and is completely noise-free. Other home office equipment needed include:

  • One work phone line (land line only) dedicated to VIPdesk. Analog or Fiber Optic Digital (no VoIP - e.g., Vonage).
  • You will also need a good-quality cordless headset that is noise-cancelling and can be connected to your telephone base (they will not accept wireless headsets at this time).
  • Fax machine or a way to receive and send faxes.
  • Sound card with speakers or USB speakers.
  • Anti-Virus Software, Anti-Spyware, & Firewall - Current and regularly updated required.
  • Cross-cut Shredder Machine
  • File cabinet or desk drawer with lock

Do I Need Prior Experience For This Job? Does This Job Involve Typing?

Yes. VIPdesk requires that you have a minimum of one year experience in the areas of customer service and in sales, and yes, you will need to type - you must be able to type at least 35 wpm.

Other requirements include:

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer and internet skills. 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference security check.

Virtual Call Center Agents: Customer Service Transcom/Cloud 10

Transcom/Cloud 10 is hiring customer service agents for their virtual call center positions. Working from home, you will provide phone-based customer service to inbound calls from customers.


How Much Does Transcom/Cloud 10 Pay?

As a Transcom At Home Professional, you are classified as an employee versus an independent contractor and you will receive an hourly wage, regardless of call volume. Transcom offers an online paid training program, which is taught in a classroom setting that you attend from your home.

What Do I Need To Apply:

You must be willing and able to work between 35 and 40 hours a week.
You must have prior customer service experience (customer service via telephone or sales experience is a plus).
You are required to have a quiet work environment without any conflicting responsibilities during your scheduled work shift. Conflicting responsibility may include caring for a child or elderly person.

WAH: Customer Service Jobs With Sitel


Sitel offers work from home opportunities that can be part-time or full-time. All work from home associates are hired as employees, not as independent contractors. Full time employees will  receive health and dental benefits as well as vacation and holiday pay.

 As a customer service rep., you will  answer inbound customer service calls. Calls may involve billing inquiries, account or product inquiries, product or service orders, installation scheduling or technical product trouble shooting.

There are various clients/projects you can be assigned to working for Sitel, and recruiters will work with you to ensure you are placed on a project that is best suited towards your skills and experience.

Pay rates vary depending on the skill sets needed for each client. But all associates are paid by the hour. So, if you work for five hours, you will be paid for five hours.

Also, Sitel does provide all newly hired employees with professional at home training before assigning projects. You are fully paid while being trained as well. As with the regular pay schedule, you are paid per each hour of training you do. Training will last from 3-6 weeks, usually.

You will need to have a separate office space at home that is free from noise and other distractions, and there are also computer/Internet/ requirements that Sitel requires all new hires to meet as well.
