Celebs.com is a leading entertainment news and celebrity interview destination that is expanding. They are seeking freelance celebrity bloggers/journalists/reporters to join their team.
Pay is $2,000/Month.
Responsibilities include:
Work with the Editor-in-Chief on content strategy and selection
Post a steady flow of six news items or stories daily (M-F) on Celebs.com with one to two stories pre-scheduled to post on each of Saturday and Sunday
Creatively apply your own voice to your work, be detail-oriented and be able to write smart copy and witty headlines to quickly capture the reader
Generate ideas and articles that embody the voice, style and approach of Celebs.com
Identify news items, list opportunities and other story ideas mindful of the importance of timing
Maintain relationships in the celebrity news space, providing stories to, and crediting information from, other sources
Must be an organized and disciplined self-starter who can handle the daily responsibility of a time-sensitive news beat
Must be familiar with WordPress and be able to source and embed artwork and video to postings
Engage with social and traditional media platforms to promote Celebs.com content
Basic familiarity with SEO practices and a working knowledge of social networking tools is essential
