Basic requirements for editing and proofreading positions include:
A college diploma or university degree in a relevant field
At least three years of experience in editing, writing, document production, or language teaching
English must be your native language
Excellent reading comprehension skills, and the ability to follow written instructions and work with minimal supervision
An average editing/proofreading speed of about 1000-1,500 words per hour
Microsoft Word 2007 (preferably Word 2010) or higher on a secure PC computer
