Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience at a print or online outlet in the same genre and must be able to provide writing samples and to submit to a writing test. The job calls for applicants to write concise and interesting news wires in AP style and to work quickly at doing so, in addition to working on long-term stories requiring in-depth research and reporting.
