We always look for a hook toward the top of the story that hints at the outcome and holds suspense, compelling us to read more." And re: payment, " 3. Pay.
Common Ties pays for the stories it publishes. Our payment guideline is between $100 and $200 per story, but this is only a guideline. You may suggest a higher or lower amount depending on what you think is an acceptable level given the quality of the story and your past publishing experience. If you record your story you will be paid an additional $150 should your recording be accepted. Common Ties mails checks within 30 days of acceptance."

Freelance Writing Business

While I was surfing around the net this morning, I came across a great site aimed at mommies, daddies, and babies!! I stayed on the site too long ( big problem I have!), but I really enjoyed the articles on there! I wanted to pass the site on to anyone who does freelance writing because you can submit articles to this site. I don't know if you will get paid or not, you need to dig deeper, but it looks like a nice way to get your name out there if nothing else! here is the link to the site, it's called Babble.
