This is a telecommute position requiring 25-32 hours a week from home or wherever (hmmm..beach, park, backyard???). Ah. Back to details--
They may hire a second managing editor to share hours as well.
Also, they have a part-time communications/ marketing role that is 8-10 hours a week. It primarily will involve trying to make high level connections with reporters and editors at major news sites and with public radio programs.
The site, Daily Source.org, will be paying between $10 and $13.50 per hour to start depending on a person’s experience and qualifications. They mention that they do not have a large budget yet at this point.
The hours needed are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. E.T. Monday through Friday and one weekend day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. E.T. On the weekend day, it would be fine to split the time in two - e.g. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. as long as the hours are between 8 a.m. and midnight. It’s also possible to start and end a half hour earlier on the weekdays.
