New VIPdesk Training Class Starting April 1

VIPdesk is currently accepting applications for their April 1 training class for customer service agents. These are phone-required work-at-home jobs as you will be speaking directly with customers to help them schedule appointments with pre-screened home-improvement contractors in their area.

How Much Does VIPdesk Pay?

VIPdesk pays $8.50/hr. They also pay commissions and bonuses, so your average hourly rate can reach up to $12.00. (During training you are paid the Federal or State minimum wage - whichever is higher.)

What is The Work Schedule Like If I Get Hired?

You should be able to work up to 34 hours a week, and up to 5 days a week (Weekend and holiday work is also required.) Currently they have the  following shifts available -

Part-time, Monday - Friday; Sunday - 2:00pm - 10:00pm Eastern Time
Part-time, Monday - Friday; Sunday - 8:00am - 4:00pm Eastern Time.

What About Equipment and Things?

 If you are hired, you will need a dedicated separate home office with a door that locks and is completely noise-free. Other home office equipment needed include:

  • One work phone line (land line only) dedicated to VIPdesk. Analog or Fiber Optic Digital (no VoIP - e.g., Vonage).
  • You will also need a good-quality cordless headset that is noise-cancelling and can be connected to your telephone base (they will not accept wireless headsets at this time).
  • Fax machine or a way to receive and send faxes.
  • Sound card with speakers or USB speakers.
  • Anti-Virus Software, Anti-Spyware, & Firewall - Current and regularly updated required.
  • Cross-cut Shredder Machine
  • File cabinet or desk drawer with lock

Do I Need Prior Experience For This Job? Does This Job Involve Typing?

Yes. VIPdesk requires that you have a minimum of one year experience in the areas of customer service and in sales, and yes, you will need to type - you must be able to type at least 35 wpm.

Other requirements include:

A high school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer and internet skills. 
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference security check.
