An Online Home Based Business Idea

An inexpensive online business idea is one that provides information to others. There are alot of areas that can come to mind that people will go online looking for information about. From landscaping to diapering, the ideas are pretty limitless.

How about starting an Online Dating Information service, for example? You can get started by creating your own website and writing articles and reviews about other online dating services.

Your website could include niche pages for different areas on dating, such as senior dating service, and categories like success stories, advice by relationship experts, where to go on first dates, etc...

Check out online dating services, such as Perfect Match , eHarmony, and Yahoo Personals to get different ideas, and to compare information and services they provide.

You can provide information and resources for those online seeking out information about meeting others. You can choose whether or not to actually become a business that actually does matching for singles, or more of an informative and resource type of site that offers links to dating services.

Web Hosting.......The Basics

I obviously have this blog hosted on Blogger, but this year I am thinking of starting some new blogs/websites on some other topics (hopefully interesting and fun ones!), and so I have entered the world of "web hosting". Ack---it is somewhat confusing to me because I have been so spoiled by the ease of setting up my first blog (my baby) on blogger, and it's been great!
But there advantages to having your own domain, such as full control of your website, and so I decided that I need to explore my options and learn more about web hosting.

But like I said, it's been a bit confusing. So today I was really happy to have come across this website, web hosting choice because it has so much information about web hosting. A really neat thing is their free guide that helps you choose the best web host for your personal or business site based on criteria that you plug in. So I was able to plug in how much I wanted to pay each month for hosting, and I got a listing of about 30 services instantly with an easy chart to compare all their fees and such. Pretty cool.

I also like their "Quick Start" page...easy to understand step by step guide to starting your own site. Gotta love stuff like this if you are anything like me when it comes to tech stuff! Ugh.

Anyway, if you have ideas for a website and/or blog you want to start this year, as part of your work at home plans, this site is worth checking out for more information on how to get started!
