Stay at Home Moms That Love Mysteries: Submit Your Story To Ellery Queen!

Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine welcomes mystery story submissions from new and experienced freelance writers. This is not a quick source of making money, (after writing and submitting your story it can take up to 3 months to hear back), but it can be a very fun rewarding way to get your work published while creating a nice income eventually.

Some of their writer's guidelines include~

Use their online submission form to submit your story (no paper submissions accepted after Feb.14 2011)

After you have submitted your work, a tracking number will be displayed and an automated e-mail confirmation containing this information will be sent to you. If you have not received this e-mail within twenty-four hours, please notify them by e-mail (listed on their website). Your tracking number will allow you to monitor the status of your submission through their website.

2,500-8,000 words is the preferred range, but they will occasionally use stories of up to 12,000 words. Shorter stories are also considered, including minute mysteries of as little as 250 words. Rates for original stories are from 5 to 8 ¢ a word, sometimes higher for established authors. EQMM does not accept stories previously published in the United States.

To learn more, visit the Ellery Queen website and read their complete writer's guidelines.

Good Luck!

Do You Design Blog Templates?

I am so not talented or artistic I actually feel sorry for myself. Sniff. But for moms out there (or dads too), that design blog templates just because you can (me, jealous?? of course not. sniff), here is a money-making opportunity I came across tonight while browsing about the web--

April Showers Blog and Graphic Designs --who by the way creates some fantastic bog templates and designs-- is hiring, sort of. You can make money by selling your pre-made blog designs on the April Showers website. Your pre-made screen shots, price points and more will be listed on the site, and will be a great way to showcase your talents (sniff) to other bloggers --

(like me, perhaps, that have no artistic talent. hmm...am  I sounding bitter?)

Anyhoo-- check out April Showers and see if this might be something that interests you!!

Good Luck (seriously)!

Website Testers

Test client's websites for Userlytics, and make some money from home. Before you sign up with the company, you need to make sure you have the following:

Webcam & microphone

200 MB of available hard disk space (only required while a test is in progress. After a test has been completed, the space is no longer used.)

Windows 7/XP/Vista

You'll be testing websites from small start-up companies to those of large well-known corporations. Typical tests will take between 10 min. to 20 min. to complete. And testers are not subjected to sites that are objectionable or illegal.

You are paid $10 per test, and paid through PayPal after the client reviews and approves your test feedback.

There is no guarantee of how often or how many tests you will be asked to complete, but it is something you can sign up for today (if you have the above listed equipment,) and perhaps start making some extra money every month!

Check out Userlytics and see what you think!

Good Luck!
(I'm really curious about this one, so if you have any information/experience with this company, please do share!! Thanks!)
