TGIF WAHM Drink Recipe (I Know ...it's Saturday!)

So instead of a Friday night cocktail....how about a Sunday brunch type of drink that is cool, light and perfect for sitting around brainstorming home business ideas???

This drink recipe comes from Woman's Day... and can be enjoyed with champagne, sparkling wine, or club soda. Tastes wonderful whichever way you choose! Enjoy while you check out this weekend's Home Business Brainstorming Idea!

Pink Grapefruit Spritzer

INGREDIENTS

    • 1 pink grapefruit
    • 1 navel orange
    • 5 cups grapefruit-tangerine juice cocktail (such as Ruby Tangerine), well chilled
    • 1 liter bottle club soda, well chilled (or champagne or sparkling wine)
    • 1⁄2 cup fresh raspberries
    • Garnish: mint sprigs

PREPARATION

1. With a sharp knife cut a thin slice off top and bottom of grapefruit and orange.

Place cut side down and cut off peel and white part (pith) from sides.

Holding grapefruit and orange over a bowl, cut between membranes to release sections into bowl. Squeeze juices from membranes into bowl.

Drain juices from bowl into a large pitcher; add juice cocktail and club soda/sparkling wine/champagne.

Divide citrus sections and raspberries among glasses or goblets; add juice mixture and garnish with mint.

Planning Tip: Can be prepared through Step 1 up to 1 day ahead. Refrigerate covered.

Work at Home TGIF Drink Recipe

This week's TGIF drink recipe comes from momlogic.com, and it sounds perfect for summer evenings! Enjoy while you check out this weekend home business brainstorming idea.

Aqua Pearl

Ingredients
3/4 cup soursop (guanabana) juice* or pineapple juice
6 tablespoons gin
4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
4 teaspoons simple syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons Blue CuraƧao liqueur
4 dashes of Angostura Bitters ice cubes
2 unsprayed purple orchids (optional)

Mix the first six ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice. Cover and shake well. Strain into two daiquiri or martini glasses. Garnish each with an orchid--if desired--and breathe in the Caribbean.

*Soursop (guanabana) juice is similar to pineapple juice and is available at Latin markets nationwide.
