Travel Writers For Trazzler.com

If you love traveling and writing, this could be a great way to earn some extra money from home. Trazzlers is a travel site that hires 10 new freelance writers every month. You could be hired to write 10 travel articles for $250. Trazzlers hires their freelance writers through a contest that they have every month. Basically, they present a new theme each month, and invite anyone who would like to enter to submit an entry. The top ten favorite entries will be chosen to be freelance writers.

And they also hire freelance writers frequently without the contest entry. Freelancers writers will write blocks of trips (not just one trip), and "community managers" and "content wranglers" are also hired for part-time work at $1000 per month. Trazzler says they "promise to read each and every submission and contact you about an open position if your writing is a good fit for Trazzler."

Want to know more? Check out Trazzler, and see if this work at home opportunity could work for you!

Get Paid To Write Book Reviews

This sounds interesting. A new book review site is looking for anyone that loves to read. It is a wiki-style site and from the looks of it, you simply create an account, and you can start writing book reviews.

Book reviews should be 350 words, and the pay rate is $8.00 per review. And there are no limits to the number of reviews you may submit. The site has a template for you to write and submit reviews.

You can also use your Amazon affiliate number at the bottom of your reviews and earn on any sales made of the book you reviewed. Go to the Amazon web site and sign up if you do not already have an affiliate number--its free and easy.

Read and Review was just recently started on July 26,2008--so it is pretty much brand spanking new. But it is something I will be following and most likely trying out. Getting paid to write book reviews sounds like a great way to create an additional source of income. My only problem will be actually finding time to read, lol. I have always loved reading but with kids it's just not something I get to indulge in often. But heck, if I can get paid to read and write reviews, I may just have to make the time!

Aside from checking out the read and review web site, also send a quick email to info@readandreview.org and you should receive an email back almost instantly that has
information on signing up, getting paid, etc. The email has more detailed information than the website itself has re: getting paid, so be sure and send your email as well as checking out the web site!

Good Luck!

And if anyone does try this out, please let us know how it goes. I will probably be testing it out myself soon, and will update!

UPDATE 8-17-08: Apparently the response was overwhelming and there is now a post on the site that payments for new reviews is suspended until further notice. Reviews may still be submitted for credit, but at this time payments will be on hold.
