Work From Home Writing About Lakes

This sounds fun and very doable if you like lakes (or can grow to appreciate them, LOL) have the Internet (which if you are reading this then obviously you do! Hehe-I am in a weird mood this morning--never mind me, just keep reading!), can commit about 15-20 hours a week, are very detailed and have excellent spelling, grammar and writing skills.

Lake lubbers.com needs part time freelance home based writers to help build their database of USA lakes in 2008, and then worldwide in 2009. Not so good at lake research? No worries. Lakelubbers will help you improve your lake-specific skills.

They need writers to do about 5-7 write-ups weekly, and will pay about $12.00 per hour.

Lakelubbers writers track their own hours, must submit invoices, and are paid by check or PayPal (your choice) once every two weeks.

Lakelubbers has a very detailed specific, format for applying with them (in a nutshell-you will write some sample reviews for them ), not difficult just kind of a step by step way of applying. No resumes are needed.

So go to Lakelubbers and check it out! Sounds like a good possibility for some work at home money to me (if I apply--thinking about it) I will report back.

Good Luck!

** Just my opinion here, but I would apply rather quickly if interested as I have a feeling Lake lubbers will get quite a few applicants on this one!

Virtual Assistants Hiring Resource

Have you heard of Team Double Click? I have heard their name mentioned a couple of times lately, and today I checked out their website. It seems Team Double Click is like a Kelly Temporary Services, only it's a virtual staffing office.

The basics of Team Double Click are pretty straight forward--

There are no listing fees to sign up with them;

Opportunities are emailed to you;

You would be working on projects for Team Double Click clients, and Team Double Click will handle billing and collections from clients;

They offer free training and ongoing coaching;

As far as pay goes, the website states that payment will depend on each particular project:

"Some pay by the job, some pay by the hour. What we do when a project comes in is contact our qualified people, like yourself, and let you know what the project entails, what the pay is and check your availability. You always have the opportunity to turn down a project. But once you accept it, we expect you to follow it through to completion. There are no fees for you to pay for projects or to set up with our company. Whatever we negotiate with you for the project pay is exactly what you receive upon completion."

The website cautions that it will take a virtual assistant applicant approximately 4-6 weeks to get through the entire registering and testing process.

Check out Team Double Click, and if you know any more about them, or have worked for them, please share your comments!

Good Luck!

Tips For Making Your Home Business Successful

I came across an article today that offers some suggestions to help make a work at home business successful. The points made in the article all very good, but a couple really stood out for me, such as prioritizing my time (ack!--I need time to prioritize time--kwim?), and staying on task! Those are probably my two biggest challenges in trying to work (successfully) from home. Here are the main suggestions from the article--

1) Time management. You will need to prioritize your time ruthlessly in order to stop yourself wasting time on things that don't earn you money. Running a business means you are self employed, and not paid by the hour. So you have to make EVERY hour count. You will need to sacrifice something in your routine to fit time for a home business in. I can recommend TV time is the first place you look for that extra time you can use!

2) Believe! Know it can be done. Have the belief in yourself that you CAN run a business from home. And that people are doing it successfully in far worse situations that you currently are. If you don't believe you can do it - you're probably right.

3) Work on yourself harder than you work on your home business. Chances are you are in a home business where people are successful. That means the business works, the only difference in your situation is YOU.

4) Become Task Orientated. Know the tasks that produce you income. And do these first. If you have time for others great. If you don't no problem as long as you've done the income producing ones first your home business will still succeed.

5) Accept that to get a 'yes' to your product / business you HAVE to also have no's. Its impossible not to. Its part of any business whether its work from home or not. Don't take it personally and accept its part of the process.

6) Be prepared to step up and be your own boss. Be responsible for your own actions. Would you hire or fire yourself for the day's activities? Be honest with yourself!

Work At Home as a Working Solutions Agent

Working Solutions is looking for independent contractors that will work completely from home on varying projects.

Projects can include order processing, reservations, enrollments, customer service, sales, market research, technical support, etc. Other types of project work may be added at any time.

If you are only able to do non-phone work, or can only work certain hours, such as evenings and weekends, just note this where prompted on the Agent Application. Hours and requirements for each project are different, but some do include non-business hours. For most projects, Agents schedule their own hours online, one week in advance, so hours can differ from week to week.

The application process starts with an online application. They advise you to be complete and thorough when filling this out. If you want to add your resume, you need to paste resume information into the comments section of the application---DO NOT send your resume seperately.

After completing the online application, you will be able to take part one of their testing--you can take it right away, or return later. After you complete the first part of testing, you will be given instructions for completing the second part of their test.

You will be notified by email if you have not met the standards. Otherwise, you will be notified that you are in the "pending pool" and will be considered for project opportunities that appear to be a good match with your skills, experience, home office set up, and availability. When there is a potential match, you will be contacted by email with a Project Notification, detailing the specifics of the available project. If you accept the terms and are selected for the project, an agreement will be drafted stating that you are an independent contractor for Working Solutions. It will also outline the scope of the project and required objectives. You will then be scheduled to go through a virtual preparation session prior to beginning work on the project.

Pay differs with the which type of project you are working on, but the average is from $7.20 per hour to $30 per hour, depending on the project. Income will vary greatly based on the work you are doing, how successful you are, how much work is available, and how many hours you choose to work.

Payment is through direct deposit or checks by mail, and checks are issued every other week if you have completed work.

Visit the Working Solutions website, read more,and if you decide to apply, just get started on the site with their online application.

Good luck, and remember that this position may take some time to get accepted for and receive projects, but it is probably worth the wait. Also, since the work is not on a regular basis,it is a good idea to consider this as a part time job, not a full time source of income.

Work For Online University As a Phone Representative

First..there is no selling or asking for money involved in this job, which I think is a very good thing!

What representatives would be doing is calling funders (grant makers) and asking one or two questions based on an outline that would be provided for you along with a spreadsheet of contact information and research. In the course of asking the questions you would attempt to leave a positive impression of the organization and communicate the nature of what they do. You would not ask for money. You can work from home and set your own hours and amount of time that you put in, working as an independent contractor.

This position is with Free World U, a 501(c)3 publicly supported nonprofit organization, that is building the first Internet University. Their mission is to provide free online education to everyone world wide. Their primary goal right now is to develop a pre K-12 program, and eventually expanding to an online university that will include a wide range of practical subjects such as the computer sciences and trades.

As far as pay...the listing states "compensation is negotiable"...so I assume this will be determined at time of hiring.

Read more about this work at home opportunity, and follow the directions for applying online. Good Luck!

Refinishing Pianos From Your Garage Or Workshop

This is a "Friday Fun" job, I think!

It is one I have never heard of before but it sounds great. Two things though... you must be the home owner of the home you'd be working from, or have written permission from the owner if you rent, and secondly this job states it is for the Long Beach area or nearby cities.

Here are the job details:

An established piano restoration shop is hiring part time and full time refinishers. You will get paid training, so you do not need to have experience in refinishing furniture or pianos. Tools and necessary equipment are also provided.

Professional piano movers deliver the piano to your garage or workshop from the client's home.

Your working space needs to be at least 10'x 15'.

You will get paid by the hour or by completing various stages of a piano. You should earn, depending on your work, between $10-$22 an hour.

If you have experience with spray lacquer, you can earn more.

Movers pick up the piano when you are done, and return it to the client's home.

That's it! Interesting, isn't it?

Visit Piano Tuning Experts to read more about this company's services.

Read the Craig's List posting here, and follow the instructions for either emailing or calling the company for further info on this job.

Good Luck!
